Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 3, 2026

This policy covers the ArgueResolver website, including the free argument judge. The ArgueResolver app for iPhone and Android has its own policy, which explains what happens to recordings: the app's privacy policy.

The short version

  • No accounts, no sign-up, no advertising cookies, no tracking across sites.
  • What you type into the argument judge is sent to our AI provider to write the verdict, and is not saved by us.
  • To enforce the daily free limit we keep a count per visitor, under a scrambled form of the IP address, for two days.
  • We count page views without cookies and without storing IP addresses.

The argument judge

When you ask for a verdict, the two sides, the names you give them and any background are sent from your browser to our server, and from there to our AI provider (currently OpenAI, United States), which writes the verdict. Nothing else about you is sent with it. Our server does not write your text or the verdict to disk or to any log; it exists only in memory while the verdict is being written and while it is shown in your browser.

OpenAI processes this text as our service provider under its API terms. It does not use content sent through its API to train its models, and it may keep it for a limited time (up to 30 days under its standard terms) to detect abuse, after which it is deleted. Please leave out anything you would not want an AI service to read, such as full names, addresses or health details of other people.

To keep the tool free we limit how many verdicts each visitor can ask for per day. For that we store a keyed hash of your IP address (a scrambled value that cannot be turned back into the address), the date and a count. These rows are deleted after two days. We also keep daily totals for the whole site (number of verdicts and AI usage), which contain nothing about any visitor.

Analytics

We measure page views and which buttons are used (for example, how many people ask for a verdict or tap a download button) with Umami, a privacy-focused tool we host ourselves. It uses no cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not follow you to other websites. The verdict's outcome type (for example "no clear winner") may be counted; the text never is.

Server logs and security

Like every website, our servers and our network provider (Cloudflare) process technical data such as IP addresses and browser type to deliver pages and stop abuse. Our own request logs are short-lived and are not used to identify visitors.

Downloads and app stores

Download buttons send you to the App Store or Google Play through a short redirect on our site that adds a campaign label (for example, which page the button was on). Apple and Google then handle your visit under their own policies.

Children

The website is meant for adults and teenagers with a parent's permission. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your choices and rights

Since we don't store what you type or keep profiles, there is usually nothing about you for us to look up or delete. If you have a question or a request, including under the CCPA or GDPR, email us at [email protected].

Changes

If we change how the website handles information, we will update this page and the date above. Questions? Contact us.
